Having watched Rhod Gilbert's BBC doc (linked below), it got me thinking. Sometimes I'm really shy, other times I'm super confident!

How many ABers would say they're shy? Or are you only shy in certain situations like me?

I'm in Northampton :-)
And thanks :-)
Northampton, enuff said ;-) I meant no disrespect believing you were from the North east, I must be thinking of someone else Xx
Are they the ones who don't wear coats :-)
hard as nails them lot... until they meet a Yorkshire man ;-)
I wouldn't say I was shy, I train new people in work in groups, have to attend safeguarding meetings, drag people over the coals for not doing their jobs properly, but when I'm in a meeting that involves the managers and directors, I find it quite hard to say what is needed. Don't know if that is classed as shyness or more that I feel a bit intimidated.
No, not shy at all but I can be anti-social at times.
Nope I like to think I can get on with anyone
Never been shy, and as I fast approach my 70th I am getting even worse. I no longer take any bullschytte from anyone. If challenged I just say it's my age!
I've never taken crap from anyone. I might be shy but I've always stood up for myself.

I used to be very shy when younger. As Ive grown older, grown more confident.
I'm often accused of being rude and aggressive. So what, I am. At my time of life I look after number one. I can be very polite and charming when the occasion demands it but woe betide anyone who presumes to talk down to me. What I have discovered recently is that a lot of younger people think older folk are automatically senile and therefore patronise them. Well I'm not senile (yet), and you patronise me at your peril.
Fair play, Jack. No one should talk down to anyone. Shyness doesn't always stop immediate reactions.
You don't have to be rude and aggressive to prevent someone 'talking down' to you though. There are other ways of dealing with it.
Depends on the situation, Tilly. In my household I wouldn't put up with any aggression. If you're in a pub and a drunken fool acts like a clown....completely different.
Immensely shy.
You people don't realise what I put myself through just to interact with you ... you really should be more appreciative of me.
Yeah you nob head be told!

:-)
LOL @ Arksided.
Not shy, mostly can’t be bothered.
