Personally I feel it shouldn't - but I'm not affected in the same way as the group who complained following the death of young Cameron.

I feel you could just as easily choke on a fish finger. There is danger everywhere. There is also a big difference in diving into a warm ocean on a hot day, as opposed to jumping in the River Wear. Education should start at home.

Agreed, but the point of the protests is that the voice-over on the ad specifically stated that the pair were jumping into COLD water on a hot day, which is potentially lethal.

Withdrawing the ad (at least until the voice-over has been changed) makes perfect sense to me.

Just how cold was this area of water? People jump into frozen lakes all the time and are fine.

but they aren't hot at the time...they don't do it to cool off. Even if they have been in a sauna, they will have run through cold air first.

revised i think, they make a good point, that diving into very cold water can make you go into shock, especially
as a lad died from doing something similar.
