Credit where credit's due - my HP printer was playing up this week - low print quality & drop-outs - which is unusual because it's normally 100% reliable.
I moaned & muttered and did all the usual head-cleaning stuff, but to no avail - then I remembered that I had a 'free three year warranty' which was (just) still in date.
I rang (not expecting very much), but after a pleasant 5 minute chat to check that I'd done all I could, they agreed there was a problem - and promised to ship me a replacement printer.
It arrived in under 24 hours - entirely free - nominally a refurb unit (but it looks brand new to me) - the courier helped me unpack it, packed the defective unit and was on his way.
I now have a fully working printer and HP has a very happy customer - who will recommend them to his friends (and on here as well).
Now that's how you do Customer Service.

Apparently I was just inside a 5 years warranty by a couple of weeks so the lovely man said we'll send you a complete new head. He also asked me if anything else was wrong, as it was still just on warranty! It arrived next day, apparently £120 worth. Nce one Dyson.

Sorry, but just having bought a new HP laptop, I will never buy another one. It won't let me find any Wifi, most times when I log on I get the message, "Your computer has run into a problem. We're just collecting data and then we'll restart it". This is no longer a minor irritation but is seriously ***ing me off. It's only 3 months old but I think I might just cut my losses and bin it.
I've tried everything. My last laptop connected no problem to the WiFi in the complex where I live but this new one simply won't let me. All I get is "No WiFi networks detected". The restarting business is apparently a known issue with HP when in conjunction with Windows 10. It only cost me £240 so as I said, I might just bin it and go for something more sophisticated.
