Much as I think that Rees-Mogg is a pompous pillock, this is intolerable.
Hope he is OK. This is a back day for democracy.

Rees-Mogg is on the far right of Tory party and his views on many things, from de-regulation through to anti abortion laws are deplorable. If he ever becomes anything more than a back bencher then we face a bleak future.
What on earth were you chumps thinking? You've made him look good by the calm and collected way he handled your brattish and pointlessly violent interruption. If you really oppose his views (and aren't just pathetic attention seekers) engage him in debate. You could have asked him about: the wars he's supported; his pharma investments; his association with climate change deniers; his unprogressive views of family life THERES A LOT TO TALK ABOUT. You not only wasted an opportunity, you totally *** up.
You've made yourselves look ridiculous and, ironically, by attempting to no platform him, you've treated him to national media exposure. It's Milo in Berekely all over again. Do you not have the sort of brains that learn things? No one would have paid any attention to your poxy University talk, now he's got massive national coverage. You might be well meaning, but you're clearly a set of idiots. You are exactly what we don't need on the left - hot headed chumps who think they're being heros when they raise their fists. You aren't opposing fascism, you ARE fascists.

Hmmm
How would your allegations of 'anti-democratic' and 'Name and shame' come across if it was J R-M supporter who started the violence?
It looks to me as though the verbal fracas was breaking up when the chap in the white shirt came in, started posturing like a skinhead and then hit one of the female labour supporters. He was then restrained by the Labour people, but struck out again, hitting the blonde (Labour-supporting) woman a second time.
J R-M then tries to hold back the guy in the white shirt. And note that J R-M has played down the incident, specifically not blaming Labour.

I condemn all violence such as this, whether from Left or Right. but it seems to me quite worrying and anti-democratic when people jump to conclusions that 'the other side' (whoever that is ) is the instigator.
