Tattoo Design, Need help deciding?

Hey there AB-ers!

Right, after a lot of thinking, I'm getting a tattoo.

Nothing bright, large, and elaborate!

I hate the larger tattoos, on arms and chest etc, I'm getting mine around/on my wrist.

I want the tattoo to symbol a lot of cr*p thats gone on in the past, and I'm now over it, looking to the future.

I've been trying to think of maybe some words I could have, in plain black, or a symbol, or maybe a small glowing 'sun' (brighter days).

Just want something personal to me, so when I'm older, it won't bother me, non-obstrusive and I can look down at it when I'm down and feel, well, well again.

Sorry if I sound like a loon, I'm not. :-)

I like the symbol - but does it really mean anything to you - or do you just like the look of it??

when you get a tattoo you've really consider it carefully and find a design that you are 100% happy with

Ace & Andrea: It symbolises strength and protection, from what I have read - so its very much along the lines of what I am looking for. As a bonus, and I guess the second main point, I do like its appearance - its plain, simple, and its quite mysterious, which was something I was looking for.

Dotty: Brilliant, at the moment, this is my number one choice. Although, I think mine will be about 3" in black.

I have a tiny wolf paw print on my wrist, that I got when I got married (my hubby is really into wolves). Make sure you can fit it under your watch, just in case you need to cover it up.

this may sound silly i dont know but if you say you are over these crap things that happened in your life then why would you want to be reminded of them everyday for the rest of your life ?

This may sound silly too, lol (Maybe we're both just silly :-)..) but its not that I want to be reminded of the actual things, its that I want to be reminded I got through something, for when times are hard etc.
