Windows To Linux
7 Answers
I read online today that Windows are starting changes altering the systems of Win 10,10s,Pro. This will start on April 1st. They are putting more pressure on sales of Computers etc.
Now before I investigate which Linux I am able to cope with. Would I be able to transfer any photos or music and some documents?
Thanks for any help, Almendros

Yes, of course you can. Back up your files to an external hard drive, dvds, thumb drives then copy them to the Linux system. Did you know you can dual boot your Windows pc so that it will run both Windows and Linux, or you can run Linux from a thumb drive or dvd.

Thanks for all the answers. I have been sick of W10 ever since the upgrade. For a start it is in complete control it deletes Apps that I want and an hour is a normal update when the PC is frozen for other use.
Once I wanted the PC before I went out and when I went to open it, an update started and took 2 hours
unbelievable. I don't own it,it owns me.
The above website has tons of stuff about the new plans. They are going to major in selling PCs etc with the new set up.
Thanks for the advice that I can go ahead and transfer music or photos on a thumb drive.
I will have another look at the various Linux systems.
