My technology, know how is not great, and ive seen them advertised and just wondered what those machines you can ask the weather, whats on tv play music etc are all about.

It does all sorts from reading your kindle, music, recipes, reminders, alarms etc. You can add particular skills that you want.

Having one is hilarious - some of the answers it gives have the wit of a human. It's also very VERY quick - I asked how far the moon was in centimetres, and it didn't even pause to think.

Literally had mine just over a week now. Very entertained by it (not just asking it to play music, which it does instantly), but by its personality. Once you get over the fact that it can seem creepy, it's an addition you will be glad you have.

I won't personally use it to turn on lights, etc, as I bought it mainly for music, so I opted for the Alexa speaker at £90.00. The sound quality is amazing!
