How To Sign Into Gmail?!

I have a gmail account which I rarely use but need to now check. How do I sign in to it?! Everytime I go to sign in, I get https://accounts.google.com/b/0/AddMailService which is telling me to make a new gmail. I am going round and round in circles and cannot believe how hard they have made this.

You need to sign into your Google account (from where your Gmail access will become available), rather than specifically signing into Gmail:

Click on signing on and I had to change my password!

Okay- what I did was make sure I was signed into my google account first (let's face it, I'm usually not). And then clicked on that M logo that looks like an envelope. Then that takes you to your mail. Confusing though!
