swallowed alive
If it were possible and i could be shrunk to about 2inches in height,
what would it be like if my girlfriend was to eat me? Lets just say she
picks me up gently puts me in her mouth, sucks on me gently and the
slowly swallows me whole and alive.
What would it feel like? would i survive the the swallowing process and enter her stomach unharmed?
How long could i survive in her stomach?
How long could i survive in her stomach if she had first taken ant-acids and kept swallowing air?
What exactly would happen to me? would it be painful?
Could she get me back out unharmed?
Strange question i know but I'm interested.
Thankyou

Assuming you're small enough to get to the stomach, and not be crushed in the journey, you hit the gastric acid, with a pH of 1 to 2. The stomach acid will dissolve you quickly (hours) - it's basically Hydrochloric Acid, and the churning of the stomach contents makes sure you will be drowned in it. Don't forget, you will then be passed into the intestine and be exposed to strong alkaline forces too.
Wildwood is right. You'd be dead by the time you reached the stomach.
The first hurdle you'd have to overcome is the epiglottis. This is the pear shaped piece of cartilage at the base of the tongue that covers the glottis during swallowing to keep food from entering the trachea. If part of you got trapped beneath it on your way over to the oesophagus you'd be crushed.
Assuming you got as far as the oesophagus and were swallowed, given your reduced lung capacity of around 1/36th of the average man's 5800ml volume and the inability of your lungs to reach something called Tidal Volume during the ten second journey down to your stomach, you'd die of asphyxiation. Under normal circumstances, there's no breathable air in the oesophagus.
Asphyxiation is painful. As far as getting you out unharmed is concerned it would be virtually impossible. She could try regurgitating you with emetic, but you'd probably drown in it as the fluid tried to get past you on the way down - oesophageal peristalsis is slightly faster for liquids than solids. She could get someone to try the Heimlich manoeuvere, but there's a risk you could be crushed by the force applied to the top of the abdomen.

Whell it was possible for a person to survive in a stomach of a whale or big fish and its scientifically prooven. Jonah and the fish was an example. What makes a human's digestive system diferrent then to a whale's consuming big amounts of fish. I think your only killer would be that you might drown. Stomach acid will only digest exposed food. When something funny would be moving or kicking inside your girlfriends belly she would probably vomit or need to go to the hospital for a stomach pump. So you might kill your girlfriend instead of she killing you. I also red in an article that there was this girl who accidently swollowed lizzard eggs and so it breed out nad she died because of the lizards' skin poison. So yeah. I hope I am right because I have evidance.
The big problem that seems to concern most is the lack of oxygen. Still, with reduced volume the surface area of your body that absorbs oxygen grows. The really tiny creatures do not need any breathing system and smaller ones rely a lot on the outer layers of body which has much better oxygen/CO2 ration than lungs. What about oxygen in the stomach? Not much of it there as oesophagus does not act as air vent. Still, due to diffusion it gets in there just as it gets into our bodies from air. If snakes have swallowed their pray alive it is known to have kept moving for days and snake's gullet is not a windpipe either.
The upper part of oesophagus can crush you, but since down the windpipe crossing the way down should be smooth. Now comes the churning part which would not crush you (that is what teeth are for) as it's main coal is to mix eaten stuff with gastric acid and digestive enzymes. After all, if you puke and have swallowed grains of corn before, they are not in a crushed state. All in there is mostly broken apart by teeth.
The acid environment in our stomachs is not for digestion, it is for activating the enzymes that do the digestion job. Acid itself would destroy the molecules we need too. If she had taken antiacids there would be reactions going on producing CO2 and then the suffocation would be sure. If you puke on yourself you would not start to dissolve - it is just unpleasant, as the enzymes in stomach are limited and act mostly on exposed wood, while skin is meant to protect us from harm. The gastric acid can digest our bodies when it gets into oesophagus too often, but that is a long exposure. Most of the food stays in stomach for some hours and goes on, an object like you would go on even quicker. Lizards that swallow a pray whole digest it for a long time and still can't dissolve hair and skin components, our digestion does not differ much. Only snakes can digest the ceratins and your GF is not a snake, I hope.
Of course, there is not much to feel down there. Darkness, humid heat. Not enough oxygen to keep you active. You would just fall asleep and her body does the rest. You would be sleeping, not kicking, not causing any reactions by her body. No gnawing one's way out any more.
So I would say there is no quick death guarantee. What happens depends on if she has recently eaten or would rink, as drowning is a very likely option. Food means gastric acids in large volumes, water drowns you the same, no matter what size you are. Emetics would make the stomach to produce more gastric acids first to dilute them so any rescue attempt would be sure drowning. But if she is hungry and stomach is empty you would probably survive the stomach and go to the intestines alive.
And that is the end. Intestines produce much greater variety of enzymes to deal with proteins, bile helps to dissolve the lipids that make up our defense, alcaline environment down there is much more harmful. You would be quickly dissolved, then spend some 20 hours giving out nutrients to her body, and then end up in the toilet pot, in the same condition as all the other food she has eaten.

Well when she first puts you in her mouth it would be wet slimy squishy and very warm. Although the swallowing process would not be so fun. The moment she swallows you would be crushed between her tongue and the roof of her mouth and be sucked down her throat and be crushed again by her muscles in the esophagus During the short trip to her stomach. Assuming you didn’t suffocate in her esophagus and made it to the stomach, you would either drown in puke or suffocate.after that you would be dissolved pass through to the intestines and turned into waste as the protein and nutrients from your body would be absorbed into your girlfriend. And then you would be pooped out.
