You’ve probably accidentally signed up. Amazon employ in my opinion very devious methods to trick you into doing so. We’ve been caught 3 times so far. Luckily on two of the occasions we were able to cancel before having to pay anything
You probably ticked something to guarantee next day delivery, probably a free trial which is for a limited period and then becomes payable monthly unless you cancel ebfore the trial ends.
I'm assuming it's for the express delivery service rather than the other amazon prime subscription service for filsm/TV channels or something similar

Thanks for replies now that I have cancelled is that it no more payments taken
I have fallen for Amazon’s Prime scam TWICE.

Both times I was able to cancel and did not lose any money, but I am not a novice internet user and Amazon’s behaviour was dodgy.
I subscribe to Amazon Prime. It has saved me a fortune in delivery charges over the year.
...I willingly signed up.
I done the same thing Cari - "whatever" I signed up for think it was £79.99 and then £7.99 - afterwards. Contacted Amazon - they refunded the lot.

I ordered something yesterday and it is so easy to get caught up in the Prime thingmajig - as they constantly ask you before you finally make payment so you need to be careful and slow in finally paying.
That should be it but keep an eye open. Yes they are devious, often you get a full page offering next day delivery but have to join prime to have it just before payment. The 'no thanks' is in tiny brown font and hard to notice.

Thanks Jennyjoan how did you contact them
Amazon prime is great if you use amazon a lot. But it rankles when you end up with something you haven’t asked for
oh it's some time ago but what I can remember go onto Amazon and peruse the page until you come to a "Contact Us" - somewhere. I'll have a look but somebody better than me will advise you.
I too willingly signed up for this. As well as free delivery I also have access to a greater range of films on my Fire Stick.
It's not a scam and it's not "dodgy"...hardly Amazon's fault if people can't/don't read properly.
They design their webpage to make it very hard to spot what is going on. And it is actually a real faff cancelling it too.
I agree with ginge it quite clearly states that free delivery is available with amazon prime, nothing dodgy or scam about it - perhaps it just comes down to human nature trying to get something for nothing?
This happened to me. I complained and got my money back.
it sounds like you may have also signed up for amazon music or something as well (the 4.99 charge)
