Omg!! Where Did That Come From??

For the last couple of nights, just before I am going to sleep, I’ve been trying to remember the old nickname a childhood friend had. Without success.

This morning, as I was walking across the kitchen to put my teabag in the bin, without any warning, I suddenly said the word!!!

Where and how did that happen? I was stunned. I wasn't even thinking about it and yet the word came out of my mouth.

It's amazing what stays in there. I remember a lady with advanced dementia we looked after and in 5 years, she never said a word. She barked, growled and bit- but never actually said anything. One day I was talking to someone by the door of the lounge and she just called out my name. Everyone was amazed that not only had she known it and got the right person, but she had recognised me just from my voice. You never can tell...
