Hi there
Try not to squeeze at all, as it can break the delicate capillaries and it is very expensive to get them treated.
I agree with cleansing and exfoliating as has already been said, but there should be no dirt, grease or oils on your face by the time you come to toning. Toning is for closing the pores, before moisturising.
Also:
Avoid comedogenic face products for make-up (any that might block the pores). Non-comedogenic products usually say so on the label.
You could try a deep-cleansing mask such as no7 Hydro Quench moisture mask . The Hydro Quench one heats on contact with water, opens the pores and cleanses them and it exfolilates at the same time. It makes it quicker and easier than using lots of different products.
Or cleanse normally as a part of your usual routine (soap or cleanser) and then use a topical spot lotion such as Neutrogena Visibly Clear. It is supposed to unblock the pores. Someone I know has been using it for blemishes and it has really worked pretty well.
Your local chemist or beauty counter will advise you better as to the actual products, as it very much depends on your skin type.
