I know that you need the hiviz jackets, is this for every person in the car or just the driver?
Also do you still need a fire extinguisher in the car?

Also note that Radar detectors are forbidden in Europe. Satnav and GPS systems which show where speed cameras are located may also be illegal in some countries - esp France. So make sure this function is disabled or removed completely from your device.

In France the jacket is just for the driver but you also need a breathalyser or two.
In France, everybody standing on the hard shoulder has to have a Hi-viz vest. Since the recommendation is to get out of the car in case of motorway breakdown, you will need a vest for every person in the car. The driver's vest must be easily accessible. ie, inside the car (not the boot); the passenger's vests may be kept in the boot but must be worn before getting out of the car.
For breathalyser see this link:

http://www.drive-france.com/faqs/france-breathalyzer-law/

ie, don't bother with one.
