A leaked draft of a negotiation document for Theresa May states that the government's aim is to prolong the "transition period" indefinitely.
Should we believe the government when they say that the transition period will have a fixed date? Or is this a means of preventing Brexit and keeping the UK in permanent limbo?

Still it underlines the continuous need for UKIP to stick around. Personally I don't think that there should be a deferral period, let alone a possible permanent one.
Just more agitating as the Remoaners twist in the wind.

I wouldn't believe anything May has to say; she might mean it at the time but be forced by the Tory backwoodsmen to change her strategy tomorrow. The list of abandoned policies is a long one.
This isn't to blame her, except for her broken pledge not to call a snap election: it's her party who are at each other's throats, and her back.

I think Mrs. May needs reminding that 'fine words butter no parsnips'. There is a feeling of deep unease growing in the country, I can feel it.
Some young lady on Ch. 4 news tonight (a clip about new Remain party) was in Cambridge with a clipboard. I heard her say 'Those people up (it may have been 'in the') North don't understand how damaging Brexit will be '. Feel despairing.
They still don't get it. We know it will cause short-term damage - but the goal, long term is more than worth short-term pain.
Right now I don't know who to believe, but I hear murmurings that it is time for a mass 'Pro-Brexit' protest march. People feel that they have been patient long enough.

There are usually two reasons for 'leaked' documents.
1) IT is a genuine leak orchestrated by someone who disagrees or who has a grudge.
2) To test the water, ie let it get out, if public reaction is fierce then claim it was never true. This has been done my successive Governments of all colours in the past and I have no doubt in the future too.

Kromo; //the government seems to constantly change policy because it has no strategy.//
