I wouldn't ask for co-codamol, as Ibuprofen is prescribed in 600 mgm tablets in Spain and that is a better deal.

If she has her EHIC card, she should go to A&E, i.m.o.. A broken rib can take more than co-codamol. I had a prescribed cocktail of painkillers when I broke mine.
Sqad will know the answer to your question for sure, but I imagine it can be bought over the counter - antibiotics can be prescribed by a chemist (or they were for me when I needed them, but that was a few years ago).
In the UK 500/30 is only available on prescription.
