How Can I Get My Epson Printer To Recognise Non-Epson Cartridges
4 Answers
My printer is an SX445W and the cartridges are supposed to be compatible. I have disabled the Epson status monitor in the printer preferences but it hasn't made any difference. Thanks

It might be worth removing them all, powering down the printer and then putting them all back in one go – rather than replacing one at a time.
As posted on this site many a time – I use compatibles with my Epson printers.
I’m suspicious that allowing your PC to update the Epson software (which is quite a frequent request) allows them to noble compatible cartridges that would otherwise work.
I generally don’t allow the updates – after all, the printer is working OK.
