Hi everyone - this is the latest thread (before the new Game Week starts tomorrow), replacing this one which won't show in LP after Sunday -

A dreadful week saw my teams notch up 67 & 79 points only, but they held their League positions.

The first match of the 6 being played tomorrow kicks off at 12:30. There are 3 matches on Sunday, the first at 12:00 & the final match of this Game Week is Monday evening at 8:00.

I know I've at least one change to make through injury, but will hold off until the morning to make sure there are no more surprises.

Morning Lie In. Subscribed to this thread. I managed 81 and 69 points .....but for the "wrong" teams if you like. I would have been better off if the tallies had been swapped, ahh well. Capito choices cost me again. I have lost my "touch" there it seems. Going to be along weekend looking at the fixtures and I have set captains just in case I cannot get online for any reason but may well change them as team announcements etc. are announced. After this week's fixtures we have the free reset amnesty and I may have a look at some of the new players that have been introduced, as long as it doesn't force me into unnecessary changes just for the sake.

Hiya Fella's your points weren't so bad mine were pitiful at 75 and 54 respectively A then B team and league positions. However another weekend upon us and for my players to impress or they'll be out the door next week.

Hi everyone - well, that was a better weekend! 106 & 149 points, up to 3rd & holding 9th in the League.

I'll bump this thread daily at different times for the next 10 days, as a reminder that we're now into the second "Overhaul" period of free transfers. No transfers made from now to the start of the next Game Week - Saturday 24th Feb - will come off your season's allowance.

I'll be leaving it to the last minute to check availability, although I'm reasonably happy with my teams as they stand.

Although we are playing Russian roulette we are obviously playing Catch-22 at the moment and it's a difficult scenario to get my head round

Hi LIK I had to double check that one:

Any transfers that are made until 12:30 on the 24th February will not come out of your remaining limit for the season.
After the deadline passes any further transfers will be deducted from your limit as usual.

Hi Guys, not gone missing in action, just been having a look back at what I was doing right. It was pure luck. Like Arks, I have been putting a curse on them rather than favouring them lately. Plus the last set of Sunday fixtures were a disappointment. I had plans and Capito changes in mind, only to get a distress signal from my son trapped at Manchester Airport. As you do I just hit the road to play parachute. I have been having a look at points per £ value and that is quite interesting. Perhaps defences and formations will be tweeked.

One final bump from me! As the deadline will have passed next time I'm on here, I've only made a few changes but hopefully with a bit more success in catching the front runners and getting back into the top ten.

Well, I changed 2 defenders last weekend, neither was picked - yay. I ended up with the week giving me 74 & 92 points & am really hoping to get back into the 100's this weekend.

First kick-off tomorrow is 12:30, with Sunday's at 1:30 & an evening match on Monday to complete Game Week 30.

Hi Arky - thanks for that ^ & I'll put the next thread up on Friday :-)

So much for my hope to "get back into the 100's" - last weekend saw me garner 44 & 45 points. Truly hopeless. Still, I'm astonished to see that I've held 4th & moved up to 8th, so I'll assume that everyone else also had a poor return.

I thought we started very, very brightly, but then the Achilles heel which has bitten us in the backside all year has stood out like a sore thumb

Hi L.I.K, Happy to post the league as always, even better being back in the top five, for me the season has been pretty good compared to most past leagues. Thankfully my faith in Nemanja Matic finally paid off scoring a goal and being one of a few consistent players at United alongside De Gea.

Nice one, I did think you'd post the new one on Friday, good luck with me snapping at your heels ;-)
