As is known, I don't own a TV but cant help but scrolling down my mates (or my mums) tv programme guide whilst there, just to see if theres anything that I'm missing. So far, I cant see that I am (but each to their own, I'm not knocking it). It just seems to be full of repeats, cooking programmes and 'reality' tv. There is the occasional film or documentary that I might like to view but often think that I'm better off been TV free.
So, just wondering whats on TV that I am missing?
Thanks.

My risotto's nearly done.
I would be as well having no telly, home alone jyst now so its been on mute all day with the odd thing being turned up to watch then muted again....been reading ma kindle!
TV hasn't been on at all today....OH is reading and I'm discovering the delights of a new radio which has FM, DAB, DAB+ and internet radio including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (and a 70 page instruction manual - all in English). There are about 20,000 internet radio stations to try out....
Love Shootas answer about Clare Balding never being off the box!

Slapped wrist for the way my mind works, I think...
There's seldom more than one programme a day I want to watch, even with a squillion channels, but so what? That's as much time as I want to spend watching TV anyway. Even at that low hit rate the licence fee is good value.
Even if and when the TV is rotten - you need a TV - when you are on your own you can convince yourself you have company.

With Freeview - there is so much to watch. And I love cookery programmes.
I agree with jno I record a few things I really want to watch and view them in the evenings. TV never on apart from that.
Fortunately, no license fee.
nothing whatsoever even though i have a tv i often find that i get to 7.30ish and turn it off as there is nothing after the news.
BBC - Balding Broadcasting Corporation
I've put on a recording of QI- I only ever watch recordings too. You aren't missing anything, nailit- and without TV licence, Sky, Netflix etc, you're probably saving a lot of money to have nothing to watch :-)
I like the TV and wouldn't like to be without it, can always find something to watch or record.
