Bulleseye is still on in the middle of the night on Challenge and I've on occasions seen it. He seemed like such a lovely man from a very different style and time, quite sad about it. GNU Jim Bowen :(

I recall him having a pre-game chat with a lady contestant (let's say her name was Mavis):

JB: "So tell me, Mavis, is there a Mr Mavis at home?"

Mavis: "No Jim. He died. I've been a widow for five years."

JB: "That's lovely! Smashing! Super!"

"Now the money you've won for charity - that's safe. It's your prizes we want you to consider"

"If you don't score 101 with nine darts, all you get is BFH - your bus fare home"

Woman- "Yes that's right Jim."

I always thought his catchphrase was Super, Smashing, Great.

Bullseye was a staple in our house. We loved him and not just because he is the spit of my dad.

It's a shame Steven Hawking is getting all the airtime but that's life.... or death in this case.

I seem to remember a couple that lived in a high rise flat winning a speed boat on Bullseye.

When my mother died I took a few days off school, I was asked if I wanted by form of Year 10s to know why and I said Go Ahead and tell them.
When I returned they came noisily up the stairs then sat in total silence through registration. I told them to go down to the Assembly hall and I waited for the last one to leave. A huge red-headed boy, always in trouble and not too clever, walked over to me, patted my hand and said You Ok luv? Set me off proper!
