Weird..it Threw Me

a strange and very weird thing happened just a few mins ago. I was looking through photos on lappie and the e mail icon on my bottom task bar flashed..I opened it to see what had arrived and it was the last e mail that Mikey sent to me !!! I guess he is watching..kind of comforting but has shaken me a bit...

why Sqad.. would you expect to receive an e mail for a second time..from a deceased person ? already having been opened and read.. not an everyday normal experience

Try coincidence, technical malfunction or even......imagination.
But hey.....you are correct......it WAS from mikey.

I'm probably going to get castigated for this - but here goes .

When Mikey was alive and posting on here - he frequently came up against hostility and great dislike from some posters ( my impression )

Yet in his demise those same posters have been tripping over themselves to heap praise on him

I do believe those who have passed over send us signs to let us know they're still around.

There was an intense smell of flowers all around my son's crib when he was just a few days old. I experienced the very same smell around my Nan's armchair just after she died.

Agree with you MM these things are meant to make us think....and no probs with that. I have experienced similar occurrences though not emails. Things that make you wonder why....at this particular time. If people don't believe in what you do then it's up to them. However if you feels 'something' is indicative of being strange then so be it. I've had plenty of things that make me think...er summat is different here.... At least it means we are caring IMO and not as dismissive as some xx

no you are quite right Baz... but this thread is not really about Mikey per se... a factual reporting of a factual experience of an extrememly weird and spooky nature.... not one I have ever had before ...

Well done bazile, . I agree with you entirely. Mikey received more verbal abuse in the " news" section of AB than he ever gave out. The threads are there .

Bazile/Anneasquith, I don’t know who you’re talking about but I consider myself to be one of Mikey’s main adversaries in discussions on here – and I’ve no doubt he’d return the sentiment. However, I was very sorry indeed to hear of his death – I said long ago that despite our differing opinions I quite liked him – but he had his faults and he could give as good as he got. I detest hypocrisy, I speak as I find, and praise is something I most certainly haven’t ‘heaped’ upon him. Like you, Bazile, I’m just saying.

I don't think everyone has the understanding of being able to tear seven bells out of someone in debate (or in sport,business etc) yet still hold a respect for that person that transcends what has gone before.

Mikey and I were at the very opposite ends of the political spectrum but we respected each other and chatted about animals, wine, and shared a mutual love of St Ives. I was really hoping to get the opportunity to meet him and one or two others this year.

Just because you cross swords with someone on certain subjects, doesn't mean you can't hold them in high regard.
