It is a wake-up call to the UK (and the West in general). I may very well be wrong, but Russia could use this as an excuse to show its new strength and invade one of the Baltic States. Russia, under Putin, wants its old, Empiric boundaries back - and has done for a long time. We shall see. It's all we have been able to do for all of my long-ish life. 1st crisis I was really aware of was Cuba - we're still here.
