Oldish film about a guy who kidnaps his daughter back and makes her pose as a boy!!!

Does anyone know the name of this film i believe it is an oldish film at least 10 years old i last watched it that long ago when i was about 11 and loved it but never got the name of it! Basically this littlle girl is in a home and her dad wants her back so has to kidnap her with his friend and when they get out he makes her have all her hair cut off and dresses her like a boy so everyone thinks shes a boy and no1 is suspicious? id be so greatful if someone knew this movie i have searched high and low!!! cheers

An OLDISH film (!!!!!!!!!) . My God, how would classify a film from the 1960's then, if you call a film from about 10 years ago as oldish!! The mind truly does boggle.
