Wife watching some junk made for tv American film on tv.
I noticed in a scene *** in front of a house , a house number of 21638.
Thinking about it , I have often noticed high house numbers while in the States.
Are roads that long ?
What's the highest house number you have ever lived at ?
In the uk it's been number 24 so far for me.

I think Khandro's right. House numbers in the USA are often four (or more) figures, and I think the first two refer to the block, and the last two the number in the block.. I have friends that live at 13958 and others at 8456
