How does the code on my car radio work?

I have just purchased an M reg Renault 19, which is fitted with a Philips Renault car stereo - I have obtained the code for the radio - but once code is put in don't know what to press to get the radio working. anyone know? Thansk

go back to the garage and recheck the code. I was given a wrong code and after trying it twice went back and found out that they had given me the wrong one!!!!! Silly billies!!!
