Yet another character packs in their job at the end of a shift. As I understood it, last night, Essie was walking out never to come back. And who was the patient whose body was being systematically dismantled? I'm afraid I found the whole progamme rather heavy going last night.

i didn't follow why Essie seemed to think she was to blame ,i kept rewinding it but just couldn't hear it .

I think the patient died from sepsis after the transplant and Essie and the young doctor (can't remember her name) were responsible for aftercare - so she feels to blame. Like you I struggled to follow it, so I could be wrong

not sure if she has gone for good ,she was given a months leave to sort her pain out x
