Anyone know if there is a quick, simple way of examining a Digital Versatile Disc, say under 'My Computer' and determining what region it has been encoded to?

However, if you run DVD decrypter, it gives you the disc details, including Region coding, for each DVD drive as soon as it opens. Should you feel so inclined you can also use it to break the region and protection coding and copy the DVD files to your hard drive for back-up purposes.
It's available free from http://www.dvddecrypter.com/
