Hmrc .. Scam Or Not ..?

Just received this text ... the only way I have ever received a tax rebate is through a refund in my wages. They want to know your credit card details to give you your taax return.
Copying the link and searching on another device I get the rather genuine looking page to claim my rebate on.
My guess is it's a scam, what do you think ..?

I don't know how it's done but I'm sure I have read somewhere that if you google a name the dodgy sites appear at the top of the list.

Some scams are more devious than others and it's never a bad idea to double check.

That's when Q&A Sites come in handy.

Mind boggling!! They try, they seek to scam....some they win!! It is a minefield and yet nothing is done to help us who live within our beliefs. That we can sort this....it won't happen to us...but it s*dding well does!

The filth live out there,the skumm exist and are out to 'get us'. I just hope at some stage karma kicks in and they die a horrible, painful death...BUT... This is THE HELL! Until you believe and be mindful, they will win.

Don't let the excrement win please. Ask! Question! Seek and you will find. Humans are resourceful and they will try to thwart the decent peeps...be wary in all that is technological.

Fortunately I took the precaution of ringing my bank, whereupon the lady said she could log in to my account at her end no problem. The web page was an exact replica of the bank's, with all the logos, adverts &c.

Apart from anything else, except for the self-employed most of us are on PAYE and would not expect a tax rebate unless circumstances radically altered. After my personal allowance, 20% of my pension goes to the taxman and I think no more about it.
