Apparently honey from China was contaminated with something. I think it was a vetinary antibiotic which isn't allowed to be used in some other parts of the world. The risk of any ill effects was said to be tiny, but most supermarkets withdrew any possibly contaminated honey from their shelves. As most jars of honey we buy are a mixture of different honeys from all over the world including China practically all the jars of honey disappeared. I am still managing to buy a honey which is made exclusively in the Caribbean at my local Tesco. It's called Rowse Caribbean honey. Hope this helps.
