When I saw he had survived, I thought that the scriptwriters had actually read what fans were saying on FB etc. The vast majority wanted him to be caught and face the full force of the law.

unlikely chrissa. the scriptwriters have a character everyone loves to hate, and having had him survive certain death, they're not going to waste him by locking him out of sight in prison.
