Hello guys. I appreciate that you all tried to help me yesterday. Surprisingly I got periods today and trust me I didn't do anything to induce it. So I told him I cannot go with him because of that. I told him how much uncomfortable I would feel. He said "I know you're faking it. I know you're lying. I dont believe you. You are trying to make an excuse to quit the tour to the village." He didn't stop arguing until I said "Do you want me to prove it ?" Many of you said he would understand me. Did I mention that he was a jerk?

Like you I also find it all so implausible, which is why I said I would need a lot more info. before suggesting anything.
I have come across a few similar cases over the last 15 years or so, and from experience can tell you it is very difficult to make an accurate diagnosis.

Menstruation is still a taboo subject in India and is rarely openly discussed. Women are considered unclean and are barred from doing lots of things when they are on a period. If this is a genuine question and Harshitha is really from India then I think we should at least try to be a bit more understanding.

I understand that she was hoping for her period in order to prevent her from going to her grandparents' village. I know that menstruation is considered 'unclean'.

the problem is things will never change for women while they are using their periods as excuses not to do stuff.
