hi all does it matter ?
we don't really know ho is posting on here .
well a few of us know personally at least one other member
however some just make up profiles and deliberately troll
but in the scheme of things does it really matter ?
and to put into some perspective some post get a lot more sympathy for a lost pet than others get for lost relatives or serious mental issues

I can't see any need for it. I did change my name, for a genuine reason, but deactivated the previous account and when I changed my mind, had to go for a similar one as I couldn't get the first one reactivated. I think it depends more on what is posted than who it is.
Not really until they start flooding the site and putting people off posting.

well in the long run we are all dead - Maynard Keynes

a few people from uni have identified me - I have to say I was shocked. oh hold it I have worked out how they did it.... On the Law thread - the usual suspects are virtually sure than no one has taken our advice.

[ as in 100% of people who ask "I dont need a will do I?" and we all chorus 'o yes you do!' - they never get a will written]
peter i would imagine that anyone who knew you in real life would probably recognise you from your posts :)
i have had 4 different accounts
i stopped using the first one because someone was being vile to me.
i made a new account when i was going through some personal trauma, and people were so nice, i just didnt want to be asked about it, so i made a new profile
i had a new account once when i was suspendered which i presume is still active
and i have this one.
The second one was approved by the ed when i emailed and asked him if i could post as someone else for a while
So what does it matter if, in your opinion, some posts on pet loss get more sympathy than posts on lost relatives or mental issues. People who lose a pet and come on here to talk about it are grieving and therefore they need our help. You have to have a pet and be a pet lover to understand. Should we ignore them then ???
Love of a pet can be greater than the love of a relative - there isn't much you can do about that.
