OH dropped potato peeler, it hit his foot and shot under the cooker.
He got a stick and pushed it under the cooker but couldn't get it. He got a torch and he could see it but not move it, then it vanished. We had to pull the cooker out. That was a bit hard as units right up to each side.
What a mess underneath and behind it. Peeler had gone under work unit at the side as no kick board there.
I ended up cleaning the floor and down the sides of units and both sides of the cooker. To be honest I never think of pulling appliances to clean behind them. Does anyone actually do that?

Once upon a time I did, Caran....same as I ironed everything...cleaned all windows weekly and vacuumed the cats..... Now if a nozzle can reach easily it gets cleaned....if not it's left.... and I have more fun with my time......x

Yes, I do, not as often as I should though. Last time I pulled out my chest freezer I found my missing glasses :-)
Yes, my husband is fanatical about everything maintaining a polished appearance.
No, I should...I'm too old to risk pulling things out, and not be able to get them back in again.
No, I don't. I was embarrassed by my election pulling something completely gross out from the back of a cupboard.
Electrician, not election!
To be honest no, I should I know.
Was there not an incident a few years back when a UKIP MEP got into hot water for describing women who did not clean behind the fridge as slúts?
Yes periodically.

I often think life is too short but I have a stand alone cooker and the amount of food that gets dropped down the side. It'd be a health hazard :-)

That just about describes me now gness. Better things to do.
I would have just bought another potato peeler.
Thank you, Caran.....we'll grow old with dust under the cooker.....but having a good time.... :-)
Until I had a fitted kitchen with everything fastened down, I used to pull everything out for cleaning. Now, thank goodness, no gaps.
Crikey no, I am a happy slovenly slattern with better things to do than that :) Life is indeed too short.
I'm with Jackdaw!
Atlanta - don't be fooled! I also have a fully fitted kitchen including oven. Recently had to have it taken out by an engineer as we thought we could smell gas.

There was still muck down there, how does it get there?
I was so embarrassed.

Even worse I now know it's accumulating there but can't get at it. Wish I didn't know.
