Charging For Hudl 2

My Hudl is not charging properly. When charger is plugged into tablet the red light comes on for about 2 seconds then disappears. Only after numerous attempts does the light stay on to charge. Any suggestions as to cause and remedy would be greatly appreciated

The hudl2 was infamous for having a poor charging connection. I had one that died beyond redemption a few months ago with the same problem. When researching a solution it was either replace the battery or if not then the charging point - both are available on Amazon. In my case neither worked and it's gone in the bin.

You could try removing the battery with the charger lead plugged in and on, then put the battery back in with the charger lead still plugged in. If that doesn't work, remove the battery. Press and hold the "Power" button for 20 seconds. Now put the battery back in. Plug it in to charge and allow it to fully charge before turning it on.
I take it that you are sure that the charger and lead are good? It could of course be that the battery needs replacing. You do not say how old it is.

Just had a nose around Irban, and it seems that there was a software update to fix that very issue a little while back. I don't know if you ever ran with the update or whether your model is a later one.
