Barbecues Causes Cancer?
5 Answers
I've heard before that having frequent barbecues is not good for your health and could lead to cancer due to burnt meat cooked under charcoal. Does anyone know of a good link I can follow this further?

Also, most barbequed meat is ruined and either undercooked or burned to a cinder. We now use one of those little one-ring gas camping cookers and cook all our ourdoor meals on a griddle or frying pan on top of this. The meat and chicken doesn't get burned to a cinder and you avoid that horrible "smoked-to-death" flavour.
All it takes is a little common sense to ensure a traditional bbq goes smoothly without burning/undercooking.
Humans have been cooking meat over open flames for such a long time yet in this day and age when we can't wipe our own backsides without instructions or without fear of our hand becoming infected and dropping off, those in "the know" decide to put the fear of god into us again by revealing that it can cause cancer! Unbelieveable!
Why don't we all wrap ourselves up in cotton wool and go live in giant soft bubbles where the air is purified and we can't possibly hurt ourselves.
Ok that's it...rant over.
