Buying Online

Went to pick up a parcel at Click and Collect - forgot to bring order number - a young girl informed "Nohhhhh Nohhhhhhhh the computer says Nohhhhh" you need your number. I'll not tell you what I called her.

Went back with the order number and another sales person - I asked her could she have got the parcel with my name "Of Course - no problem".

I would hope they don't give the goods out without the order number.

It's not the sales staff fault you forgot to take it

well HS surely even ID I had in my purse coulda sufficed.

I would hope that proof of identity, e.g. driving licence, bus pass or similar would be sufficient.

When I have ordered click and collect it clearly states bring number this is because the goods are ordered by number not name.

If you need to collect from the PO they ask that you bring the card AND ID.

The problem is that "the computer" has become our master rather than our slave.

I always get a confirmation email with the order number on it, which I store on my phone. I just show them that.

Would you have been as annoyed Jenny if you'd turned up to collect complete with the order number only to be told it was collected earlier? Because thats the sort of thing that can happen if you don't stick to the rules

If I'd have been serving...no ticket no parcel you could have been anyone even with Id

Also can I just say it's not nice to be rude to the girl and call her names - she was just doing her job!

I have used this facility a lot recently, when buying stuff on ebay. I have items delivered to my local ARGOS store, which is every close and convenient for me. I get this email and all I have to do is to show the email on my iphone, to the ARGOS staff...they scan the phone and hand over the item.

It seems to work very well !

I am corned beef (deef - deaf) - so do not use a mobile phone at all - so do not have a clue when you are talking androids etc etc etc.
