The internet allows people to let their inner demons breathe, their id and ego swap places and their everyday masks to be removed. I have met several people in real life that I had previously known only online.
One or two seemed a bit -let me say- "extreme" in their online personas, but in real life turned out to be ok.

The written word can be taken the wrong way. You often have to see someone face to face to understand the meaning behind a post.
Sometimes I've read my answers back and thought 'that sounds a bit harsh' but most of the people who know me reads it as I intended because they know I never intend to be harsh.
