I just left sista home and came home thru a different route at about 8.00 - I saw an old lady walking who had 3 coats on her - one on top of the other. It was raining at the time but still couldn't understand 3 coats then I realised the lady had dementia.
She kept looking around her - frightened but kept on walking. When I looked at her I knew her - she was the most beautiful lady who worked in my local chemist.
Always calm, beautifully turned out, mild, pleasant, interested. When I worked in the Credit Union - her and I had used to have a lovely conversation. Had a lovely husband too - always by her side.
Am so so sad to see this beautiful person troubled with this disease. I was going to stop and offer her a lift but I know this would have frightened her even further.
I think there is already a lot of research jj. I suspect it might be a matter of prevention rather than cure that is needed.
So sorry you had to see your friend like that.
