Saving From Dropbox

How does one save a particular image on its own from a string of images in the same location in Dropbox ? I want to save it as a simple stand alone .jpg file, not as an html one.

Rather than thinking of it as 'saving', think of it as 'downloading':

Click on the image name/icon to open it on the page.

Then click the blue 'Download' button.

(I don't use Dropbox myself though. My suggested method is based upon reading this: https://shop.jdsindustries.com/site_images/PDFS/Dropbox_Instructions.pdf )

Chris, I have no difficulty downloading for the purpose of viewing (on my device there and then) but I want to save the image as a .jpg file (onto disc or stick)for the purpose of viewing/using it in the absence of an internet connection - "save this page" only saves the html data so one can download again some other time.

Which device are you using?

On a PC clicking 'Download' will (depending upon how the browser is configured) either automatically put the file into the default folder used by your browser (such as 'Downloads') or allow you to choose the file location you wish to use (such as 'My Pictures', 'Birthday', 'Dogs' or any other folder of your choosing, which can be on your PC or on external media such as a memory stick). You can then access the file at any time, irrespective of whether you're online or not, using your chosen image-viewing program.

So, if you're using a PC, which web browser are you using?

If you're using a different device, what is it and which web browser (or dedicated app) are you using?

Thanks Chris, I have now resolved my problem - it seemed to me at first that if I use the link only for the html image a) the entire folder containing several images would be visible and b) I could not issue it as a stand-alone file if I for example want to use one image to appear in an advert. Both worries were baseless. Thank you for your advice.
