Haha AV. Me and "Jap Hanley" went down there to have a look and spent 5 weeks under the boat in the first snap. We called him "Jap" because he had the teeth and squint. He never took offence mind( just in case the precious are watching) He was a pearler. Sometimes I can barely believe that it is me. The photos have been cropped, so as not to infringe on someone else and are a little "blurry", but so am I now anyway. You will see that I filled out somewhat in a few months at the end of 64. I started work with the NCB in the September of 64 and lost my tan but gained some muscle, which had it's uses in Stoke.
We had a mate that was known has Chinky for the same reasons has your mate Jap, Togo. Everybody called him by that name he also never took offence either.
One of my cousins was a miner in Stoke ( he moved up from the West Mids where he was also a miner ) before he emigrated to Canada, Togo.
We have knowledge that is deemed "dangerous" in present time AV. Perhaps I should adopt your "under the radar" approach. (^_*)
