My sincere condolences go out to his parents who, like many, fought tooth and nail for their beloved son. The rights and wrongs of their fight no longer matter. Little Alfie suffers no more.
I also believe that there will be many a tear shed by those hospital staff who have cared for the mite all these months and they, too, have my admiration and sympathy.
RIP Alfie, a battler to the end.
