Central Heating System

Had a call off the council in the week to tell me that my flat is down to have a new gas central heating system fitted and the contractor is coming out on Tuesday to survey the property beforehand. A few questions (if anyone has had this done before)
1) Is it a messy job replacing boiler and radiaters? (I'm a bit OCD when it comes to my home)
2) Will all the pipe work have to be replaced as well ?(its all over 30 yrs old)
3) Can it be done in a day?

I know I can ask questions on Tuesday just picking ur brains beforehand,
