Ufo's/extraterrestrial Craft
49 Answers
Has anyone in the AB community ever actually seen what they believe to be a UFO, or extraterrestrial craft? I haven't, but would love to, if they do in fact exist. I don't see any reason why there couldn't be other life forms in the Universe, especially given some of the fantastic building feats in the ancient world (eg. pyramids etc). Did they have help from more advanced beings? What is your opinion or experience?

When I was about 13/14 hanging out with my mates and one of them was stood transfixed staring into the clear night sky. He just pointed and said "whats that?" it was so far away from our perspective looked like a star. Then it shot off in one direction at lightning speed without stopping instantly about turned an shot off back on its self in a triangle motion and continued to dance about erratically for about a minute or so before shooting off and disappearing.
This was well before any interest in the subject or read Erich von Däniken 'Ancient Aliens' I watch the shows akin to it and read many books, UFO's yes (Yes by definition) abductee cases I'm still highly sceptical.

I think HG Wells suggested that movement through space could be possible by travelling at the end of a light beam. You make a light beam move across the sky in half a second, so he said that scientist should look at the possibility of inventing some form of this travel. Well, he did write science fiction!
My Mother seen a strange looking craft quite close up out of her living room window early hours of the morning. She said it was triangle shape with lots of flashing lights. This was in the early to mid 80s in Somerset. A couple of other people seen it too. My Mother was one of the most genuine people you could ever meet....
When I was 12/13 (1977ish) I saw (with a friend) two objects which looked like they were chrome rowing boats from underneath, with 2 F15 type rear tails. They were reflecting the street lights and one appeared to be lightly higher and slightly behind the other. They were moving quite slowly but silently. They disappeared over the top of my parents house and when we ran around the other side, they had gone.
Probably some experimental aircraft but they were very strange. It was the chrome finish and silence which were the weirdest things.

I once got a large Helium balloon and a small set of multi coloured LED flashing lights, powered by a battery. The balloon was easily big enough to lift the lights. I set it off after dark about 10pm with the lights all flashing. There were reports in the local paper about a UFO with flashing lights being seen. No proof of course but I am sure it was my balloon lights they saw.

It's speculative to suggest that aliens exist at all, let alone that they have the technology -- and the motivation -- necessary to visit here. Indeed, it's also well within the realms of possibility that *we* are the most advanced species in the universe, or at least within any region of interest.
It's fun to speculate, but it seems premature in the extreme to draw any conclusions from those speculations. There's simply not enough data to go on. How likely is life to emerge? How likely is it to become complex, enough even to reach our point of development, and beyond? As a wise person once said, we simply don't know. But those are the sorts of questions that will need answering before it's reasonable to take the prospects of alien life at all, let alone of such life visiting us, seriously.
I don't think I've ever wanted to be wrong more than I do about this, mind.

This is what I believe, and is the article I always refer to when we're talking about these things. I know people here have come up with arguments against it, but I'm sticking with it.
