Opening An Attachment

Have had a picture book narrative from my granddaughter as an attachment to my IPad but unable to open it. Help required to do this if possible

I don't know what that is. Does it need a special app?

I think that is the case re an app to do this but worry not as I let my gdaughter know my problem and she has just copied and pasted the attachment so have been able to see it

What's the file extension of the attachment? (e.g. .doc? .docx? .pdf?)

Once we know that we might be able to find an iPad app that's capable of opening it.
