(As a qualified chess coach, it's embarrassing to be beaten at the game by an 8-year-old who can't even see the board!)

I suspect that he's spending much of his time on his school studies, Clover. Google finds quite a few references to him appearing on stage when he was a bit younger than now but perhaps he's currently got exams (and/or girls!) on his mind.

That's a very mixed bunch of performers, with several very good ones and a few that wouldn't get very far in an average pub karaoke contest!
For another great voice from a youngster, check out 13-year-old Russian, Ivan Iastrebov, singing 'Дорогой длинною' ('Dorogoy Dlinnoyu'). It's a Russian folk song that was ruined when Gene Raskin gave it English lyrics (in 'Those Were The Days') but retains it's power in this fantastic rendition of the original:
