i know this is annoying but i went upstairs and got sidetracked and now she is a lawyer - whats going on?

Grandma didn't want Allison burned, so told her to go back out & come in when grandma was awake...thus changing history. Allison then went on to marry her one time boyfriend (not Joe) and became a Lawyer.
To cut a long story shorter, she preferred her real life with Joe & the kids. Despite the career as a lawyer, rich house etc her husband didn't want kids..it made her realise that she loved her life just the way it was.

However, in her "other" life she found out how the defence attorney had tricked her and the DA, and was able to change the course of the murder trial once she was back in her "real" life.
