i think there's an advertising code that stops commercials being able to show the actual or simulation blood or wee...thus the blue liquid.
in certain types of iillnesses, the wee can go blue

i dont understand your reply ... wee is blue in books?
I once saw a television programme that said blue is used as it is the most inoffensive colour to represent blood.

Which I guess may be true when you think of it as yellow would look too much like wee, green looks like bile, brown looks like poo, orange/pink are too close to red, white wouldn't show up and black is too dark.

Purple would look nice though.

Ok ...red is classed as offensive, but aren't these products catering for 'adults' ?
They are catering for adults but the ads are still shown during the day when children see them.
Sort of understand why it's blue - but I know exactly what you mean!
