Wow...what more could you ask. Keep you going for a couple of weeks that lol.
Just as well those places are outside of Bridgwater as the place itself is a bit grim (don't bother with Minehead either but Dunster nearby is nice)
And if you just want a beef roll or bacon sandwich then this is the place to go!

Be warned though they are big!

Or if you’re cooking for yourself then they have good deli, meat and fish counters. Just on the outskirts of Bridgwater
Burnham-on-sea is a hole - avoid like the plague.
^ Go to Watchet instead
Just remember you've been warned Watchet !
>>> Burnham-on-sea is a hole - avoid like the plague

I don't dislike Burnham. (Observant folk might spot that I've deliberately omitted Weston-super-Mare from my list above though!)

Thanks all, looks like nothing much has changed in the area :-(

I am surprised that Sherrard didn’t let rip into Cheddar Gorge!
There's nothing in Burnham. Don't bother with it. Just down the road is Brean and Berrow. Brean Down is lovely if you're fairly fit and can climb up lots of steps. Big beaches too, but mind the ebbing tide and mud.

Wells and Glastonbury are lovely. Cheddar too, but not on busy days like Bank Holidays.

Never been to Cheddar Gorge - but don't get me started an Woookey Hole!
Question Author
Aah yes, my mistake Sherrard.
What's wrong with Wookey Hole?
We had a disagreement about false advertising (which the ASA upheld and made them change) and then there were a spate of false 'good' trip advisor reviews. This was maybe six or seven years ago (not that I hold a grudge). Plus it's a rip off and it is, literally, a hole (if the kids even slightly misbehave I threaten with a return trip).
