There are very few Deeds (in the traditional sense) left.
Land Registration now means that whenever there is a transaction on a property it has to be recorded at the Land Registry. So all property details now include this stuff. Although often there is no reference to boundaries!

Although there are some Deeds about where land is unregistered. These will normally be in the hands of the owners, their solicitors, their bank or their mortgage company. There are also quite a few in the hands of record offices.

Thanks Barmaid I really meant to say that my nehbour has put a new fence up but with a small kink in it that has taken part of my drive so as to make it easy to drive into on there side.

Oh dear. These disputes are by far the most vitriolic and the most costly - if indeed it is a dispute.

Try having a friendly chat with your neighbour about it.

Just bear in mind that you have to continue living next door to your neighbour before you start getting into a legal tangle with him, which will get acrimonious. On top of that, if ever you come to move you'll have to admit that you had a dispute with him.

Is it actually making your life difficult - does the kink in the fence impede your access to your own drive?

Is it reducing (significantly) the value of your property?

Unless the answer to one of the above questions is a very loud "Yes", you need to just have a polite word with your neighbour (if possible) and then get on with your life - the aggravation is very rarely worth it for minor boundary infringements.
