Not sure whether to post this here or in Parenting, but can anyone tell me if it's ok to put a child's baseball cap in the washing machine? Is it likely to fall apart? I'm just not sure if the peak is cardboard inside or plastic.

My daughter's cap is white and absolutely filthy! I've tried wiping it with a damp cloth, but no good.

I always put my sons in the machine with no problems, don't do a hot wash though!

Okey dokey, I'll give it a try then. Thank you!
I wash ours in the machine, low temp. wash, but do not spin them. Dry over bath. Only one has died, but it was so dirty I would have binned it rather than leave it as was !
In America last year I saw a cage type thing that you put baseball caps into and then wash them in the dishwasher!
