Moving to Spain
Hi just wanted some advice, im currently a nursery officer but a workmate wants to move to fuengirola in spain as her parents have an appartment we can stay in, just wondering if anyone knows how hard it is to find work over there as we want to stay there for a few months but still need to pay bills back home, and if you have any advice that would be great, we want to move as quick as we can.
Thanks

Ab fab info and message board, loads of info on the towns - follow links to Malaga Province, then 'villages of malaga' for Fuengirola details and what to expect.
If you go to the forum on the site there are tons of details and you should put on a question for specific details - general queries aren't answered as fully as they are too vague.
Jobs boards, wanted ads, all sorts of info - have fun. . .

Really the most appropriate advice I feel to give you is not to go, Sam, until you have cleared off your debts in the UK (you have posted separately in the Finance section about this, I spotted). Though it sounds tempting to go to Spain for what appears to be a cheap stay in the sun, unless you speak fluent Spanish, the chance of finding anything other than relatively poorly-paid casual work associated with the holiday industry is small, and you are likely to run into trouble with servicing your debts in the UK. Probably not what you wanted to hear from AB, but try sitting down with a friend and working the maths of it through.
Hi Sam, this is a good English language paper that covers the CDS

click on classifieds on the left then Sits Vac, it does cover the whole of the CDS though there are some agencies in there - probably be easier to pick up a job when youre down there though.
I've not seen the thread that buildersmate mentions but if youre going there expecting pay equivalent to the UK then it aint gonna happen. Hope this helps.
